End User Licence Agreement
Terms of Use
These Terms of Use are the agreement between you and us covering the Breeze mobile application ("Breeze", "the app"). By downloading, installing or using Breeze you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
1The licence we grant you
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use one copy of Breeze on any device that you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, in accordance with the usage rules of the store you obtained it from.
You may not: copy the app except as the store's own backup rules allow; sell, rent, sublicence or redistribute it; reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble it except where that right cannot lawfully be excluded; remove or obscure any notice of ownership; or use it in a way that breaks the law where you are.
2What Breeze does — and what deleting means
Breeze scans your device to identify files that are typically safe to remove — duplicate and visually similar photos, screenshots, blurry images, large videos, cache and temporary files — and presents them for you to review. It also merges duplicate contacts, re-encodes videos, and stores files you choose to move into an encrypted vault.
Deletion is permanent, and it is your decision. Breeze never deletes anything without you confirming it, but once you confirm, the deletion is carried out by your device's operating system and we cannot undo it. Where the platform provides a recovery window — the Recently Deleted album on iOS and Android holds photos for around 30 days — that window is the only recovery there is, and it belongs to the platform, not to us.
Back up anything you cannot lose before you clean. "Similar" is a judgement about pixels, not about meaning: two photographs of one scene can look identical to an algorithm and be completely different to you. That is why Breeze pre-selects only bit-identical duplicates, leaves every perceptual match unticked, and shows you each file before it acts. Reviewing what is queued is your responsibility, and by confirming a deletion you accept the outcome.
Storage figures, category sizes and estimated savings are measurements and predictions, not guarantees. Actual space recovered depends on your operating system, your iCloud or Google Photos settings, and what the platform allows an app to remove. On iOS in particular, deleting photos does not free space until the Recently Deleted album is emptied, which is why the app reports those as ready to free rather than freed.
3What a subscription includes
Breeze is a paid app. There is no free tier: an active subscription, or the lifetime purchase, is required to use it, and the app states this before it asks for payment.
What a subscription includes is all of it — every tool that finds or deletes files, the Secret Vault, the weekly reminders, the home-screen widget, and the platform-specific tools your device can run. We do not sell a second tier, and we will not carve an existing feature out of the one you bought in order to sell it again.
Within the app there is no daily delete limit, no per-file cap, no metered allowance, no advertisement, and no additional purchase of any kind. Once you have paid, nothing in Breeze asks you for money again for the term you bought.
4Breeze Premium, and how billing works
Breeze Premium is the app: every cleaning tool, the Secret Vault, weekly automatic cleanup reminders, the large home-screen widget with its category breakdown, Shrink Videos on iOS, and the full 30-day notification report on Android. Which of these apply depends on your platform, and the app shows you only the ones your device can run. It is sold as one tier over two terms — a weekly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. The terms differ, what they unlock does not.
| Plan | Price (USD) | Length | Free trial | Renews |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Premium, weekly | $7.99 | 1 week | 7 days | Yes, weekly |
| Premium, lifetime | $29.99 | One-time | None | No |
Prices are shown in US dollars and are converted by the store into your local currency; the price you see on the purchase screen before you confirm is the price you pay, and it is the one that governs. Payment is charged to your Apple Account or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
Automatic renewal
- The weekly plan renews automatically every week unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends, at the price then in effect for your plan.
- The lifetime plan does not renew and cannot lapse.
The free trial
- The 7-day free trial is offered on the weekly plan, once per Apple Account or Google Play account.
- If you do not cancel before the trial ends, it converts automatically into a paid week and your account is charged $7.99 on day 8, and every week thereafter until you cancel.
- If you buy a subscription during a free trial, any unused portion of that trial is forfeited.
5Cancelling
You cancel in your store account, not in the app — neither Apple nor Google permits an app to cancel its own subscription, so any button claiming to would be a dead end:
- iOS: apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions, or Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
- Android: play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions, or Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions.
The same links are inside the app, on the paywall and in Settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Premium stays active for the rest of the period you have already paid for, and cleaning keeps working either way.
6Refunds
Purchases are processed by Apple and Google, so refunds are theirs to grant — we have no ability to issue one directly. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com or through Google Play's refund process. If a refund is refused and you believe the charge was wrong, write to developer@gmsoftwareltd.com and we will support your case with the store — the Refund Policy sets out exactly what we will do. Nothing here affects statutory cancellation rights you may have under consumer law where you live, including the right of withdrawal for consumers in the EU and UK.
7Your responsibilities
- Use Breeze only on devices and data you own or are authorised to manage.
- Keep your own backups. See the warning in section 2.
- Choose a vault PIN you will remember. The vault is encrypted with a key derived from that PIN and we hold no copy of it, no recovery key, and no back door — if you forget it, the contents cannot be recovered by us or by anyone else.
- Do not use the app to interfere with, disable or gain unauthorised access to any system, or to circumvent a platform restriction.
8Permissions and device access
Breeze asks for a permission only when a feature needs it, and explains what the feature does first. You may refuse or later revoke any permission in system settings; doing so simply hides the features that depend on it and never disables the rest of the app. What each permission is used for is set out in the Privacy Policy.
9Ownership
Breeze, its source code, design, name and logo remain our property and are protected by copyright and other laws. This agreement licenses the app to you; it does not sell it. Your files stay entirely yours — we acquire no rights of any kind in your photos, videos, contacts or anything else on your device.
10No warranty
To the fullest extent the law allows, Breeze is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, that its scans will identify every removable file, that its classifications will always be correct, or that a given amount of space will be recovered.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
11Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, files, photographs, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of Breeze — including the deletion of files you confirmed for deletion, or the loss of vault contents after a forgotten PIN.
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total liability to you for any claim relating to Breeze is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim, or US$50.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
12Changes to Breeze and to these terms
We may add, change or remove features, and may update these terms — to reflect a new feature, a change in the law, or a change in how a store requires subscriptions to be described. When we make a material change we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where the change affects what you pay or what you get, tell you in the app before it takes effect. A price change never applies to a period you have already paid for; for a subscription, a change takes effect at the next renewal and you can cancel before it. Continuing to use Breeze after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
13Ending this agreement
You may end it at any time by deleting the app from your devices. We may suspend or end it if you materially breach it, in particular section 1 or section 7. Sections 9 to 11 and 15 survive the end of this agreement. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription — cancel it in your store account first, as described in section 5.
14Apple and Google
The following apply to the App Store version of Breeze, and are required by Apple:
- This agreement is between you and us only, not with Apple. We — not Apple — are solely responsible for Breeze and its content.
- Your licence to use Breeze is limited to a non-transferable licence to use it on any Apple-branded device you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.
- Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance or support services for Breeze.
- If Breeze fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation of any kind with respect to Breeze.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claim by you or a third party relating to Breeze, including product liability claims, any claim that it fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of any third-party claim that Breeze infringes that party's intellectual property rights.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and, upon your acceptance, will have the right to enforce it against you as a third-party beneficiary.
For the Google Play version, Google's own Google Play Terms of Service apply to your purchase in addition to these terms. Google is not a party to this agreement and is not responsible for Breeze.
15If part of these terms cannot be enforced
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in force.
If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer-law rules of the country where you live, or of your right to bring proceedings there.
